The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

A robot vacuum/mop combination is the ideal option for pets who shed fur. It can vacuum, mop and clean its own dual mop pad.

It also has the greatest suction power of any robot we have tested, at 8,000Pa. It can also save maps of your home and set cleaning schedules from its app.

1. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni robot vacuum-mop is the latest in Ecovacs line of hybrid robot vacuum mops. This wet-dry model is equipped with the company’s upgraded AIVI 3D 2.0 lidar system that provides improved mapping and obstacle avoidance. The system uses dual laser LiDAR, which is similar to the one used in self-driving vehicles. It can scan an area up to 32 feet by 360 degrees. That translates into more precise mapping, faster response times, as well as better cleaning accuracy.

It also has an adjustable mopping pad made of chenille, which makes it easier to scrub hard spots as opposed to traditional mop. During my tests the X2 Omni washed its pad in just a few seconds and got to work. I noticed that it was more accurate than other models that seemed to follow the grid of rooms. It was capable of navigating my room’s with its corners and edges as well as create a “Zambani pattern” across the center of the room. It also returned to its OMNI station on a regular basis to empty the trash bin and wash the mop with hot water prior to beginning another clean-up job.

Like other Ecovacs products, the X2 Omni is a breeze to set up and begin using. It takes just minutes to snap the dock into place, plug it in, and pair with your home Wi-Fi network. Then, you’re able to launch the app and start with your first cleaning project. I was able to customize my floor plan in about 15 minutes. This included creating limited areas for mopping and sweeping and rearranging the layout of furniture that is mounted on walls and more. The X2 Omni was impressive in my tests. It scored high in the areas of Revolutionize Pet Hair Cleaning with Robot Vacuums hair removal as well as debris removal, and achieved near-perfect results in edge and crevices cleaning.

2. Deebot T10 Omni

If you need a powerful combination of vacuuming and mopping look into the ECOVACS Deebot T10 Omni. It is the most advanced model of the brand’s T-line and features a new OZMO Turbo 2.0 mopping system which uses dual-spinning brushes for better cleaning than traditional oscillating scrubbers. It comes with YIKO, an artificial language processing technology that is the first of its kind. It can respond to a variety of voice commands. The ECOVACS App lets you map your house, create cleaning schedules, and alter settings.

The main drawback of the T10 Omni is that it’s unable to switch from mopping to vacuuming in one run. Both modes require that you attach and remove the mop heads according to the need and is suitable for most homes but not an ideal choice for those with busy lifestyles.

However, the Deebot T10 Omni is a superb robot vacuum and delivers impressive results in our tests on pet hair. It was able to remove more than 96% debris from our hardwood flooring. This is a remarkable performance. It did an excellent job on carpets and tiles, removing 99percent of dirt.

This robotic vacuum and mop has large docking stations that offers cool water auto-cleaning for its mop pads, automatic emptying into a 3L bag that’s simple to replace, and hot air drying for quick and easy maintenance. It also has a large reservoir of water that allows it to be rinsed and dried more often between mopping sessions.

As with other mopping robots such as the Deebot T10, this one comes with a wash tray at its base that cleans and dry its mop pads when it uses them. It does not have a removable tray so dust, dirt and other grime will gradually build up at the bottom.

3. RoboVac X8 hybrid

While the Anker-owned Eufy is well-known in the world of robot vacuums This model is the first venture into the world of mopping. It has improved smarts, multiple map support, and LIDAR scanning, along with twin-turbine suction technology that automatically adjusts to the floor you’re cleaning. It’s a mid-range robotic cleaner that’s attractive even if its promise of being a one-stop-shop for floor cleaning does not make sense.

The X8 Hybrid looks like a standard robotic vacuum cleaner from the top, with its circular shape with sweeping wheels, as well as an elevated area for sensors. Flip it over, however there’s a motorised floor brush plus a single side sweeper which pushes dirt from the edges into the main pathway of the robot’s ‘mouth’. It’s a bit smaller than the main brushes on the rival iRobot Roomba S9, which I discovered makes it easier to fit under chairs and sofas.

Its mapping system is reasonably sophisticated and allows you to set no-mop zones, as well as specific cleaning zones. However, it has a tendency to get into things (including its charging dock) and isn’t the best in negotiating rug. It was capable of removing pet hair from floors that were bare, though, and in our tests it took in 89.5 percent of litter – a figure that is higher than any of the most powerful robots we’ve examined.

While it’s controllable via the app, the X8 Hybrid also comes with physical buttons on its base, which allow you to select the cleaning mode and turn the robot off and on. These buttons can be used to set up areas that aren’t allowed to enter and access real-time maps. It’s also a bit chatty, and will inform you of what it’s going to do next (start cleaning) or warn you if something is wrong.

4. ILIFE A4s

This model is high-tech and sucks up pet hair, kibble and other messes with remarkable performance and is able to effortlessly maneuver around furniture legs. It comes with a set of features that is impressive, including two cleaning modes and an automatic docking station, and real-time obstacle avoidance technology. The Wi-Fi enabled device can be operated via the Neato App where cleaning schedules are set and maintenance requirements are tracked. The X2 Omni is a great option for homes with large spaces that have a mix of hard and carpet floors. However it will require some planning ahead to avoid getting caught on electrical cables, toys or other unexpected obstructions.

In our test of hardwood floors and kibble, this robot performed well and picked up everything from a single grain of rice to several pieces of dog food in just one pass. It did have some issues with rugs however, generally speaking, this vacuum cleaner is perfect for large rooms that contain different flooring types as well as a mixture of pets.

The A4s Pro is expensive but it’s an excellent buy for people who want to to leave the house hands-free so they can get out and do other things or perform household chores. The A4s Pro has a convenient auto-cleaning mode that increases suction to get rid of tough dirt or spills. It also comes with a battery powered ElectroWall to define the boundaries of the robot.

This budget-friendly robot from a popular new brand is the most affordable we’ve tested and provides exceptional value for money. Its navigation system is basic and uses a super-basic random pathing algorithm, but it doesn’t have room mapping capabilities, making it less efficient than the other models on this list. However it’s still able to reach under furniture and in corners and its mopping feature worked very well in our testing it picked up pet hair and other debris easily.

5. Shark iQ

Shark’s iQ might not be as well-built, but it is better in cleaning pet hair off all surfaces. It clears bare floors more thoroughly and does a good job on carpets with low pile and makes use of 3-in-1 Smart Robot Vacuum Perfect for Pet Owners-pathing navigational technology for better maneuverability. It can be directed to a specific location, and includes a variety of advanced automation features including no-go zones and schedules. It even lets you stop and restart the cleaning process, so it’s perfect for homes with pets.

Its self-cleaning brushroll is able to prevent tangles and can hold up to 30 day’s worth of dirt. It has a set of angled side brushes that can reach into corners, as well as a multi-stage filter system to capture dust, allergens, and dander.

The robot vacuum is built well and feels solid. It is compatible with an app on your smartphone that allows you to change the vacuum’s settings and schedule cleaning times ahead of time. The app allows you to see the remaining battery life of the iQ and also receive push notifications when it encounters any problems during a cleaning session. You can also control it using your voice via an Amazon Alexa device or Google Assistant device. If you don’t have either of these devices you can mark the boundaries of your area with physical boundary markers strips.

The iQ is good at cleaning bare floors, and it does a decent job on carpets that are sagging and low-pile. However it’s not able to provide the same level of autonomy as our top selections. It’s also expensive, and its recurring costs can become expensive over time.
