iRobot Combo Review

Combo is the first mop from iRobot and vacuum robot. It’s also the most attractive. The top of the machine is brushed aluminum, and the iRobot Logo are more elegant than the loud designs from competitors.

You can use the iRobot Home app to set up and guide your robot. The app collects usage data and maps of your home that include furniture and obstacles. Maps and images are only shared when you have signed up.

It’s not a mop.

The Combo Effortless Cleaning: iRobot Roomba i3 – Wi-Fi Enabled, an extremely intelligent mopping robot, takes all the intelligence of the superb Roomba J7+ and adds a reservoir of water onboard as well as a small pad for mopping, and a robot arm that can lift and lower the pad. It can complete a large amount of work in just 11 minutes, and then is power-depleted and returns to its base station to recharge.

The model comes with the iRobot home app, meaning you can begin and stop cleaning runs. It’s also a nice-looking robot, with matte black plastic that does not show fingerprints or dust and a brushed aluminum top piece with the small iRobot logo.

It is a fantastic tool of vacuuming and has no issue traversing over large area rugs or transition strips between flooring surfaces. It is able to pick up fine dust that other robotic vacuums miss. However, it’s not so good in the field of mow. It can’t get rid of dried milk stains, unless you’ve sent it four or five times.

iRobot’s dedicated Braava jet M6 mopping robot cleaner, which is often offered in a bundle with the j7 plus for less than the price of the combo Combo does a much better job of this and other tasks that are difficult. It’s even able to clean up ketchup and wine that has spilled however I’d recommend against sending it after any type of liquid with a significant sugar content.

It’s an air vacuum

It’s one of the more attractive robot vacuums. The top of the piece is smooth and doesn’t show dirt or fingerprints as easily as some of its competitors. The small dustbin and water tank of this vacuum are simple to open, but they’re not the biggest. The Combo j7+ also has the smarts you are used to from iRobot including maps and obstacle avoidance maps that work effectively and swiftly. The mopping arm is the thing that makes this model stand out in its class. The mop pad is kept on the top of the robot vacuum. However, when it detects a surface that needs mopping the pad is moved under and behind the robot vacuum. This is a major improvement over other robot vacuums, which require you to remove the mop pads to clean hard floors or carpets manually. You can even turn off the entire unit for mopping.

It’s an electric charging station

Place your Combo irobot on the changing station and then align the metal contacts on the base. The charging station functions well and is easy to install. During my tests, it took the robot just a few minutes to charge before it would make an audible sound when it was completed. Once the Combo iRobot is charged, you can begin an exploration run within the app to help it better understand your home. You can also mark certain objects such as lamp cords, as permanent avoidances within the app. You can also connect Alexa or Google Assistant to your robot so that you can use commands with your voice to navigate around your home.

It’s a smart device

Combo irobots rely on the use of acoustic sensors as well as onboard cameras to identify the type of floor they’re Ultimate Cleaning Combo: iRobot Roomba s9+ And Braava Jet m6, as well as the objects that are in your home. It also blends this information with maps of your home and data from the robot’s onboard camera to create a customized cleaning plan for each room. It’s intelligent enough to stay clear of your lamp cords, couches and other items you would like to keep. Of course, like any connected device, there are concerns about the security of this data. iRobot however, states that it will not sell any customer information and will not take any images without the consent of the customers.
